I waited since I was 15 to see Harry Styles, and I finally did it at his Love on Tour Austin residency.
I am gatekeeping half of my floor photos.
So, my friend and I were fighting for tickets for Day 1 in Austin (September 25th) when they came out on sale a few months prior. I got in the queue and it was a mess. I was literally clicking on seats as they disappeared. Luckily my friend got tickets and I tagged along.

Two Days Before the Concert:
So we got into town the two days before the concert and stopped at a few places such as The Museum of Ice Cream. I was craving Velvet Tacos (even though I could get some in Dallas) and walked around a shopping center where the museum was located in. We were exhausted from driving and flying so we decided to rest that night.
The Day Before The Concert/Merch Day:
The main objective of the day was getting merch and seeing “Don’t Worry, Darling.”
We didn’t want to be stuck in line for the merch before the concert, so we decided to go to the merch lines available earlier. The lines were not long at all. I also was able to buy the New York edition of the Love on Tour sweatshirt.
We spent the day before the first concert hanging out and exploring Austin. We stopped in stores like Zara, Sandro Paris, Reformation, Madewell, and randomly the Purple Mattress store at the Domain Shopping Center.
Harry Styles Love on Tour Moody Center Day 1:
Before the concert, we stopped in Downtown Austin to visit a few spots we each wanted. It was cool seeing Austin in a different way other than the state’s capital. I liked how it truly felt like we weren’t in Texas for a few hours like I can see how people say that Austin is the California of Texas.
My favorite spot was this boutique called Maya Star where I wanted to buy everything out of there but ended up with a cardigan.
The day’s main event:
Concert time
The Moody Center has various spots for photo opportunities outside of the venue. They had a literal Harry’s House booth where you could take photos of a replica of the rooms on Harry’s House’s cover. The lines were so long, so we waited until after the concert but they closed it down by then and we were rushed to take photos.
Once inside, you were going to be in someone’s photos no matter where you were at that point. Everyone wanted a photo in front of the huge Harry’s Love on Tour banner. I was asked to take a bunch of girls’ photos while taking my friends’ photos.
Harry’s openers were the Gabriels and they were amazing! The main singer, Jacob Lusk, probably could have sung without a microphone and I could have still heard him from the nosebleed seats.
Harry came out in a cowboy-themed outfit. He made a few jokes about being in Texas.
After the concert and around the Moody Center, merch was still being sold. There were also Watermelon Sugar mocktails being sold that cost around $25 dollars…you got the drink and the special cup…anyway, my friend had to pour it out before leaving the venue.
ALSO, THERE WERE BOA FEATHERS EVERYWHERE. I still am finding little fluffs from the show in my suitcases months later.
We also were planning how to get tickets again because the show was so much fun. We decided to try in the morning.
Day 2: Floor/Pit/General Admin
After hearing some girls on TikTok getting floor seats last minute at BTS’s concert, my friend and I were trying to get floor seats for Harry. We planned it out for months since learning about this ticket-buying method. It was risky but we called the ticket office and said they had tickets left for sale. Surprisingly, General Admin was the cheapest option and was WAYYY cheaper compared to Ticketmaster’s prices.
After getting the tickets, we rushed back to the hotel to get ready.
Not much was different other than you had to be earlier than other seats, especially since we bought ours after. They gave us a specific time to get to the Moody Center and we got there 30 minutes early, but there were so many people already there waiting for general admin. We stood in various lines for about an hour before getting onto the floor.
Some people were running to get spots, but no matter what by the concert, everyone shifted over. Luckily, my friend and I noticed how Harry was interacting with Paul a lot so we stood on the side while most people moved towards where Harry’s microphone stands were.
The only thing I found annoying about floor/general admission was that you can’t leave, especially if you do it by yourself. Most people had friends to hold their spot. My friend wanted a quick photo but we lost our original spot because someone came and stood there. Also if you sit and hold your spot, someone will stand next to you and not notice your personal spot.
Other than waiting, we got some food and went to the bathroom before the concert started. I knew for sure, it was going to be a pain to get through the crowd if one of us left during the show, especially since some people were following Harry around as he moved around the stage.
The show was similar to the previous nights’ but being on the floor and so close to the stage was so much more fun. As much as my feet were aching, the show went by slower and it was fun (kind of) interacting with Harry. The girls around us were cool and had tons of signs. So at some points during the show, I just saw signs.
I also had the idea from someone in the way front to Facetime my friend during Matilda and she lowkey screamed. I lower my volume but she saw some of it before the Wi-Fi started slowing down.
I also loved how interactive Harry was with the crowd while singing. He reacted to the girl next to me’s birthday sign and commented on how many people’s birthdays it was.
The most epic part of the night was when Paul threw his drumsticks (one: I’m not going to fight, so I just watched the girls next to me wrestle for it) and Harry threw his water at the crowd and my arm got hit! My hair also got hit by some water. I realized later at the hotel when I saw how frizzy it became. 😅 I didn’t compare to the girls who were in the front who were drenched. IDK how a water bottle did all that.
Another thing about being in General Admin is the wristbands. I can’t upload my video now, but my wristband took a day to get off. IDK what happened in the process of them putting it on my arm, but I literally showered with it one. I had to go to Walmart and by tiny scissors to get it off of my wrist before my flight back to Dallas.
Another moment I loved was “What Makes You Beautiful,” because I was about to cry. It took so many years to finally hear a One Direction song live. Throughout my teen years, everyone at my school loathed One Direction, and going to the concert healed my inner teenager a bit, lol. I also loved how Harry acknowledges his band days by performing this song when it wasn’t a One Direction tour; he knows his roots.
Overall, this concert was the one I had the most fun with and was enjoyable. When Harry comes back to Texas, I shall be there.
